Hi everybody, I have been working all day on my “Elephant” under the still nicely warm September sun. Some light correctional pruning here and there and repositioning some of the smaller branches. Some deadwood touch-ups with diluted Lime Sulfur were necessary and more of that small but o so important Bonsai stuff…and I have to say that he is looking really pretty again and way different in his just appearing Autumn foliage! That is what I like so much about Larch as a Bonsai…the changing of its appearance throughout the different seasons! In the next couple of days, I will prepare the old antic table that I bought via the internet from China, I have to shorten the legs to the desired height so that the “Elephant” will be shown at more or less the right height at the show. All very exciting stuff to show it in such a prestigious show along with all those amazing trees from all around Europe… a real honour indeed!!! I will make many pictures and a video of it all so that I can share my adventure with you all! So watch this space!!! Cheers, Hans van Meer. Info: email@example.com —————————————————————–
