This Atlantic Cedar was a gift from a few family members a few years ago, and I am very grateful for this gift. It had a couple of nice curves in the trunk lower down, but the trunk then went straight, and that was a shame. Cedars have a reputation for being difficult to successfully bend, but I think its only a matter of time. The first photo is of the tree in 2014 showing those aspects. The original plan was to have this as a literati and I have been slowly working towards that goal. In 2016 I put some movement into the upper part of the trunk (the straight bit) and I left the wire on for more than 18 months and I also allowed the tree to grow without too much interference. When the binding and the wire comes off the next phase for this tree will begin.
